Resilience training & Mentoring is a service which we take huge pride in giving back to the youth.  Our goals are to support the achievement of good Mental Health and promote Emotional Well-being to enable good outcome for children and young people. By positive role modelling, mentoring and physical activities I hope to eliminate all barriers and restrictions to engage, empower and build confidence levels.
Our aims
  • To encourage and promote physical activities.
  • Identify early signs of potential risk or development of Mental Health concerns e.g., bereavement, loss, trauma
  • Promote good mental health
  • Redirect children & young people back on track in school life, as well as regaining mental stability.
  • To promote self-esteem and body image.
  • To reduce obesity risk and health complications such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension ((high blood pressure)

 

 

 

How we operate in schools 

  • We work with a maximum of 4 students at a time.
  • Use a variety of different physical activities to connect with students, build trust, and bond with students
  • School days are split into two different segments: Mentoring and skills development
  • We enable key life skills development e.g., communication, organization and leadership skills
  • In collaboration with the school moto, we create a safe environment for children to talk about any issues and safeguard children from potential risk
  • We offer a flexible arrangement to achieve individual’s short-term or long-term goals. Depending on the needs of the child/children.
  • Preferred setting: a small classroom, open space indoor and outdoor for specific activities.
  • Have regular check-ins with academic teachers determine progress and set new goals
  • Have clear communicate with the safeguarding team.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention

Proposal 

  • Training package will be a flexible arrangement based on the needs of the child.
  • Both One to one and group sessions are on offer.
  • Sessions are face to face within the school setting.
  • Each session will run for a maximum of one hour.
  • Pre and post training & mentoring evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the programme
  • A final report will be provided on the student’s achievement at the end of the programme.
